It was last, but not least. Those who attended will remember this weekend – when the Quay Jacques-Cartier tested its capacity limits to the max! In fact, the final evening was even a little too crowded for our taste, when a flood of people came and stained an otherwise spotless event. We sincerely apologize and are already working to effect the necessary changes. You can be sure that we will redevelop the site in order to better welcome festival-goers next year. We plan to push back the stage and rethink the ticket booth configuration in order to cut down on wait time and avoid entrance traffic.
Otherwise ... wow! Once again, the program menu was proven a succulent one. Carl Craig, Ikonika, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and SBTRKT, among others, offered exhilarating performances that pushed our guests to dance so hard they seemed to fly off the dance floor!! Among the weekend's personal favourites were the last few minutes of Poirier's Friday show, where Jeanbart and Linso Gabbo (Omnikrom) joined programming director Michel Quintal in singing Bounce le gros in front of a surprised but delighted crowd. A special mention goes to the three guys from PomPe tes PiPes, who in the opening minutes of their Thursday evening set drove Virgin Mobile Igloo partiers into a parallel universe that resembled more of a tropical jungle than an igloo. It was everything but cold!
