Sensation Montreal 2009: David Guetta and Armin raised the roof

Staged for the first time at the Pepsi Forum, the Sensation Montreal event turned out to be every bit a match for expectations the night of Saturday, September 5, over Labor Day weekend. More than 4,000 people answered the call of the electronic rhythms served up with great flair by event headliners David Guetta and Armin Van Buuren. The atmosphere was intense, to say the least, in the large circular room dominated by a DJ podium overhanging the crowd and erected several meters high so that dancers, spread out over different levels, could enjoy maximum visibility.
After kicking off in House mode with Montreal DJs Uppercut and Danny Torrence, Sensation Montreal literally took flight with the arrival of the eagerly awaited David Guetta, who electrified participants by starting with a few of his best-loved mega-hits before paying tribute to his underground roots with more incisive rhythms, effectively paving the way for Armin Van Buuren’s high-velocity tech trance. Armin lived up to his reputation with a blazing start to his set. Visibly in top form, the Dutch DJ and producer pulled out all the stops to take his fans to an even higher level of happiness. Behind the mixing console, Armin always takes special pleasure in bombarding his audience with pulsations that are plainly more incendiary than the ones normally found on his mix or production albums. Last Saturday that pleasure was entirely shared by the thousands of participants, who danced with tireless energy until morning. To round the event off, Toronto's Glenn Morrisson surprised more than a few with a set as relevant as it was inspired. A new face to Montrealers, on this occasion Morrisson most certainly made himself some new devotees.
Montreal's White Party Week, Produkt and BPM Conference wish to thank the sponsors and partners who contributed to the success of this 3rd edition, as well as the public, whose support was once again tremendous. As we await the 4th edition of Sensation Montreal, which takes place on Saturday, September 4, 2010, the organizers invite you to the 4th edition of the Resolution event, which will be held on January 1, 2010, and to the 16th White Party Week, scheduled for Thursday to Monday, April 1 to 5, 2010.
