Summertime will get a running start to the rhythm of electronic music this year in Quebec City as the biggest DJs continue to take over from one another within the walls of the Capital. Following the visit of David Guetta this past March, it will soon be Dutch mega-star Tiësto's turn to touch down at Centre de foires d'Expocité, on Thursday, June 30 (the night before Canada Day) and serve up a grand-scale DJ set from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. as part of his Club Life 2011 world tour. Over 5,000 people are expected for this event, whose complete programming, including Quebec City DJ Marco G and many others to be announced, will take place from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. With his Club Life 2011 tour, Tiësto once again heightens production standards by offering a show with sophisticated visual content, bringing into play multiple LED screens and state-of-the-art lighting effects. .
The Tiësto show in Quebec City is produced by Playground Productions, Produkt and Traction Productions and presented by NRJ in association with MusiquePlus and Virgin. In order to avoid long lines, new procedures have been put in place to ensure very quick entry for all participants.
Tickets on presale this Friday
A first batch of 750 regular tickets for this Tiësto show will be offered in presale at a cost of $78 each (taxes included + service charge) starting Friday, May 13, at noon on billetech.com and on tiesto.com. The price will immediately climb to $90 (taxes included + service charges) for subsequent tickets.
A quantity limited to 750 VIP tickets will also be available at a cost of $36 (taxes included), the VIP ticket being supplementary to the regular ticket and needing to be combined with it for the holder to gain admission to the venue. The VIP ticket offers several advantages: priority access to the event, a separate VIP checkroom free of charge, the VIP platform located close to the DJ podium, washrooms reserved for VIPs and a VIP bar, where drinks will however have to be paid for. In light of the popularity of Tiësto – he filled the hall at his last visit, in 2008 – acting fast is highly recommended, as tickets risk disappearing quickly.

Since his revelation to the entire world as a headliner in the opening ceremonies of the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, Tiësto has grown continuously in popularity, as likely to be found performing before 250,000 people in Rio de Janeiro as in the most renowned venues on the planet. Refusing to confine himself to particular musical trends, the world's most famous DJ has developed a highly personal sound, never hesitating to blend a variety of styles ranging from house to electro by way of ultra-energized remixes of pop tracks. No surprise that he's chosen to call his new label Musical Freedom, which will soon release the first album in the Club Life compilation series entitled CLUB LIFE – Volume One Las Vegas.
