And we're off! Insomniac's production crew has loaded in the heavy machinery and work has begun at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to build the first of our stages for Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.

For the next 11 days Insomniac's tireless crew will be working to turn the Speedway into a fully immersive carnival experience just for you. We will be posting regular updates on our progress as the NASCAR racetrack undergoes its massive transformation.

The first rumblings of bass cabinets has starting to reverberate across the festival grounds as sound checks begin on some of the stages! By this time tomorrow the army of workers will be completing the finishing touches. Hundreds of lights are hung and wired as testing and programming fully began late last night. The amount of production of each stage is truly jaw dropping. Strange and wonderful art installations all over the LVMS have appeared.

In the early hours of the morning we heard a worker say something that sums up yesterdays progress. "Today, it looks like a festival!"

You can feel the energy gathering as Electric Daisy Carnival get closer and closer.

The huge structures that have been under construction for a week now are reaching a point where you know what their final form will be. Lights of all shapes and sizes can be see on all stages now but there are still so many more to hang and miles of cable to connect them. No sound has been placed yet but it is all here, just waiting.

As each day goes by, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway continues its transformation. All of the stages are clearly showing signs of their enormity. It is amazing to see ideas that have been on paper for so many months actually come to life. Here are a few photos to keep your mind spinning and inspired! We definitely are.

Lighting Up
